JIRI ROGL
Jiri was born on 28 December, 1966 in Prague.

He has been actively involved in the world of music since the beginning of 80s as a drummer and lyrics and song writer in a number of hard rock and metal bands.

In the late 90s he has decided to make a good use of his long life love for music and started to publish articles in the Rock&Pop magazine.

2001 – He worked as a photographer for the Czech edition of the Classic Rock magazine and at the same time for the monthly magazine Audio Music World (about hi-fi technique), both titles published by the same publisher.

February 2003 – He has started to work as an editor and a chief-photographer for the Rockshock magazine. A number of his photographs were published in various music magazines such as a really prestigious MUZIKUS magazine (for professional musicians) just to name one. His photographs and articles from huge rock concerts (e.g. Queen, Mark Knopfler, Korn, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater, Phil Collins etc.) have been regularly published in this magazine.

Autumn 2005 - He put together his own „ROCK TWILIGHT ZONE" public exhibition supported by the Prague City Council where you could see photographs taken during concerts and festivals in the Czech Republic, Germany and Austria.

In September 2006 took place another exhibition of Jiri´s photographs at International Music Expo HUVEL in Prague´s Expo hall.

At present, Jiri works for one of the best European photo labs THALIA PICTA s.r.o.

Jiri works with Canon EOS cameras using Canon and Sigma lenses. He takes photographs on negative and inverse Kodak and Fuji materials. Currently Jiri uses also digital camera, it is Canon EOS series too.
